I was born and raised in Dallas, TX and at the age of 9, I discovered my first love which was basketball. I began playing organize basketball on a little league team when I was 11 years old. Then track and field entered in my life around the age of 13 and I was a long sprinter, running the 200 and 400 meters. So from middle school all the way to high school, basketball and track/field were my top two sports. I stopped playing basketball after my sophomore year in high school because I didn't have the same drive like I once did when I was younger. That had a lot to do with me dealing with politics and not given the same chances like some of my teammates were given. In high school I ran track my whole four years from my freshman to senior year. My senior year I added cross country to another sport that I ended up enjoying. I never thought I had the strength and endurance to run three miles as a race.
So I was a basketball player, a long sprinter, and a long distance runner. To sum all of this up, I wasn't the best basketball player and I wasn't the fastest guy on the team. I couldn't outrun some of the long distance runners on my team as well and the one thing that I do know is that I gave it all that I had and did my best. So after high school I was completely done with playing sports because I thought it wasn't my calling and it was not what I was born to do.
I went to the University of Texas at Arlington and I graduated receiving my Bachelor's Degree in Business Management. After graduating from college, I started getting into modeling, television, and commercials. That's when I started getting into the best shape ever and that is what introduce me into the fitness world. I finally got a taste of what it felt like to be in good shape. I trained some of my friends who were getting ready for sports events and I trained some of my family members who wanted to look better and live a healthier lifestyle. I would provide them with nutrition advice and share with them new workouts that I learned. While I was doing personal training as a hobby, I attended University of Phoenix and in a few years I received my Masters Degree in Business Administration.
After I received my Masters Degree, I continued doing personal training as a hobby and entered into the finance industry. I completely hated it and it was the worst time of my life because I wasn't following my true passion which is health and fitness. I realized that the finance world wasn't for me and my calling was helping others get in the best shape in their lives. Fitness is my passion and one of my greatest achievement is helping others succeed by living a healthy lifestyle and changing lives. So I decided to make it a reality and what sets me apart from other personal trainers is that I am sincere and actually care about your success. I took a chance to change my life so let me help you make the change in your life, where there's a Willz, there's a Way! Willz Way Fitness!!
